investiture of very Rev Prof Johnson Kwabena Asamoah Gyadu as president of trinity theological seminary

A formal ceremony has been marked to confer the authority and symbols of office of the president to the Very Rev Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu. The investiture ceremony took place at the Trinity Theological Seminary- Legon in Accra. The principal officiant for the ceremony was the Rt. Rev Hillard Dela Dogbe (PhD) who is the Presiding Bishop of Western West Africa Conference of The AME Zion church. Also, to grace the occasion was the Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, The Immediate Past Presiding Bishop, Most Rev. Titus Kofi Awotwi Pratt, The Administrative Bishop, Rt. Rev. Michael Agyakwa Bossman, General Directors and Directors, Senior Lecturers of the Seminary, Invited guests and the Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Kofi Sarpong, the CEO of Ghana Petroleum Company.

in view of the provisions outlined in the statutes and deeds of agreement of the Trinity theological seminary-Legon, Prof. Asamoah-Gyadu took his vows publicly followed by the investiture prayer. Presentation of symbols of office included bible, stole, statutes and deeds which represents the symbolic token of his office as President of trinity theological seminary. Presentations and fraternal greetings came in from 1986-year group of Trinity, Asbury Dunwell Church, International Scholars among others.

The very Rev prof. Asamoah-Gyadu in his response, assured that he will provide leadership that will help the Seminary to accomplish the aims and objectives for which it was set up. The wife of prof. Asamoah Gyadu, Mrs Theodora Asamoah-Gyadu together with Patrick Addaquay on the organ, thrilled the audience with sensational psalms.  As the 13th President of the seminar, prof. Asamoah-Gyadu will be in office as the president, for the next 6 years.
