Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong is a prominent Ghanaian Academic, Theologian, and Presbyterian Minister. He is widely recognized for his public advocacy, leadership within the Christian community, and contributions to higher education. He brings over three decades of experience spanning church leadership, ecumenical diplomacy, higher education, and national governance. He is a Senior Lecturer in African Christianity at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, a Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana since 1991, and former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana. He has served on national advisory boards including Ghanan Education Trust Fund (GETFund), the Ghana Prisons Service Council, the Ministry of Finance Advisory Board, National Curriculum and Assessment Council (NaCCA) and the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC).
He has worked with International Donor Agencies and facilitated leadership capacity building conferences for National and International Ecumenical Organizations.

Track record: deepened Christian Council of Ghana’s ties with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council. He grew the Asante Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana from 29 to 51 Districts.
