Immediate past General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong takes his turn on ’21 minutes with KKB’.

The Pastor and Academic speaks on a wide range of issues including his decision to serve on the Ministry of Finance advisory board under the governing NPP, Free SHS and the implementation of a double track system by government, regulation of church activities in Ghana, homosexuality and the need for Ghanaian men to marry Ghanaian women.

The Religious studies lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology also takes a swipe at his colleague lecturers who are engaged in ‘sex for grades’ and calls for stiff punishment including dismissals and prosecution of persons guilty of the practice. He strongly condemns the act and calls on the managements of the various universities in the country to do more to protect students.

Dr. Opuni-Frimpong in this interview also raises key points about the role of ousted EC Chair, Charlotte Osei, in maintaining the peace the country is currently enjoying even as he cautions newly appointed chair of the Commission, Jean Mensah, against ‘selectivity’. He says the former IEA boss must be mindful of the fact that ‘both NPP and NDC are capable of rigging elections,” adding that “she must not have favorites.”
